Balbirnie Wedding

It was a return to Balbirnie House for Jiggered Ceilidh Band. It’s a venue we’ve enjoyed playing at many times…

This time it was for Paul and Kerry’s wedding. The evening kicked off with a waltz (we played Hector the Hero) where the bride and groom were joined by the wedding party. The crowd really liked our ceilidh stuff- every dance they quickly populated the dance floor and showed they knew what they were doing!

After the buffet we did a short set until 11.30pm when everyone was invited up to the front of the building to wave off the new Mr and Mrs Henderson. While this was happening we played some acoustic bits and pieces below the unique echo-generating ceilidh in the centre of the room. I took some video footage on my phone. I got carried away and turned the phone around a bit but if you can get past that you’ll enjoy Emma’ s version of Mr Brightside…and if you really want to hear Raymie’s attempt at Cotton-Eyed Joe you’ll have to email me directly!!
