Wedding at Piersland House Hotel
Tonight’s ceilidh was pretty special.
Ewan arrived with two exciting new purchases. Inside his awesome new car was a cracking new drum kit.
Susan arrived safe and sound despite having being trapped in a room just hours earlier.
Emma’s reputation as an amazing singer was confirmed before we even started by a few guests who’d heard us before.
I was buzzing to be playing for Lorna and Gary’s wedding (Lorna did say she was “buzzing like a bee” too!). The room was loaded with his folk who know me as “Mr Smith” and it was a pleasure to catch up with so many pupils, like Harry and Jennifer, former pupils, like Adam, Alex, Andy, Beth, Cammy, Emma, Euan, Gavin, Jack, Kate, Rachel, Ross, Ruairidh, parents and even grandparents.
The first dance the happy couple had chosen was “Bless the Broken Road” – it was a cracking way to start the evening. Evey dance saw the floor filled and when we wheeled out “Paper Roses” for Killie fan groom Gary the reaction was unbelievable. Brought the house down!
An amazing evening- one guest posted this on Facebook later about Jiggered: “Without a doubt the best ceilidh band. Absolutely unreal at a wedding tonight”. We’ll take that. Thanks, Cammy.
