I know regular followers of the Jiggered Ceilidh Band blog will be a bit surprised that I’m only just now getting round to writing about last night’s ceilidh but I’ve had a busy day….cut me some slack please!

Anyhoo…Dunblane Hydro (or DoubleTree by Hilton, Dunblane Hydro as it’s called these days!) was the venue for Ryan and Pami’s wedding. It was a huge wedding and the Hydro was an ideal setting for the size of crowd. Ryan and Pami had really clear ideas about how they wanted their wedding to go (the treated their guests to a photo booth experience, tubs of luxurious ice cream, a buffet with bacon rolls, sausage rolls and perfectly-cooked-yolk-still-runny-fried-egg rolls) and they asked us to do three specific first dances!

First, a bride and groom dance (a cover of Snow Patrol’s “Chasing Cars”). Secondly, a dance for the wedding party (our version of Rihanna’s “We Found Love”). Finally, a father-daughter dance (Heartland’s “I loved her first”). Even though this was the least well known it went really well- there were tears and I’m sure Jiggered will use this one again!

A brilliant crowd, grateful couple and even some nice Facebook feedback after it!

A weekend off now, before our adventure to Norfolk for a wedding…
