Statistics Suggest A Great Night All Round

We were recently back at Glasgow University Union for one of of our favourite nights of the ceilidh year - the APTS (Academy for PhD Training in Statistics) conference ceilidh.

We’d been hyped up to this lot based on our performances at previous conferences, so the pressure was on to make sure we left these dancers (many first timers) well and truly Jiggered!

The conference attracts students from across the world so there were a number of nations represented and it was great to show them one of our favourite traditions here in Scotland. They were keen to give every dance a go and Gemma in particular had great fun explaining the steps to our “easy” dances.
