A big night for Hooligans!

Stephen and Sophie-Elise’s wedding at Glasgow’s Royal College for Physicians and Surgeons was one to remember for many reasons!

The first half of the ceilidh went down a storm and we were treated like VIP’s by Sophie-Elise at the break when she fast tracked us to the front of the buffet queue for some delicious bacon rolls. Result!

In the second half we played our version of ‘When I Was Lost’ for the Hooligans Jig. This is our usual choice for this song but tonight it was extra special, as it turned out it was one of the songs used during Stephen and Sophie-Elise’s wedding ceremony! The looks on their guests’ faces as we played (unaware!) were priceless.

One final surprise for the night was a sneaky back-street exit. No, we weren’t dodging fans like scenes from Beatlemania, but on police-advice we had to make a sharp exit to avoid some boy racers in the city centre from blocking us in. Thankfully we all got home hassle-free and enjoyed a well-earned extra hour in bed!

All in all, a great night! All the best, Stephen and Sophie-Elise!
