Ceilidh at Kinkell Byre
Ceilidh number 2 of the weekend took us over to the east coast for Michael and Anna’s big day at Kinkell Byre, St Andrews.
This was a long awaited celebration for Michael, Anna and their mix of global guests, as the vows were already done and dusted during lockdown.
The first dance was followed by a father-daughter dance (fittingly, being Father’s Day) then a lovely, choreographed dance between Michael and his grandmother.
A lot of the guests had traveled from the U.S. specially for the big day so it was their first time ceilidhing. Nevertheless, they absolutely nailed it and we were encouraged to hear some of them decide that “Scottish weddings are way better than American ones” - we happen to agree! At the end of the evening, a lovely French guest also let us know that it was the best wedding she’d ever been to and kindly asked for some business cards, so we’re now all hoping for some continental ceilidhs! Ooh la la…
Michael and Anna - thanks again for having us! We had a great night celebrating with you.
