A Cracking Cairns Farm Ceilidh

Cairns Farm Estate in Kirknewton has got to be up there in terms of our favourite wedding venues in Scotland. It’s a bit of a windy drive but once you get there, it’s always a great night! So it was brilliant to be back and this time it was for John and Kat’s big day!

Our rendition of (most of) 'Ain’t No Mountain High Enough’ by Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell for the first dance seemed to go down well and it was party time for the rest of the night!

It’s rare we do a ceilidh these days where there aren’t some first time ceilidh goers in the room, and this time was no exception as John and Kat’s guests had traveled from all over to celebrate their marriage. We love it!

We were treated to some of the delicious evening buffet and enjoyed some treats from a well stocked cake table with probably the most visually impressive cupcakes we’re ever came across. They looked too good to be eaten, so we didn’t actually have any, but nonetheless…

This was the 2nd of a midweek back-to-back trio for us that week so it was certainly a busy one, but this lot made it absolutely no bother! We even received some kind words from John and Kat shortly after:

We had a great time and thank you for playing on our wedding day. You guys were excellent and did a fantastic job in getting everyone on their feet to dance. We will definitiely recommend you to anyone that asks us about a wedding band.

Thanks again for having us guys and all the best!
